When your workspace is created, Corevia already sets up the essentials for you: a standard chart of accounts, the current financial year, base and foreign currencies, and a default VAT rate. You can start working immediately.
A sensible first hour looks like this. Open Settings and set your company name, address and logo — these appear on every invoice and report. Then go to Cash & Bank Accounts and add each till, cash drawer and bank account you actually use; Receipts, Payments, Cash Book and Bank Book all read from this list, so nothing can be recorded until at least one exists.
Next add a few Customers, Suppliers and Products. Each needs a short code (for example C-001 or P-1001) plus a name — the code is what you will search by later.
Now you are ready to transact. Raise a sales invoice, receive a payment against it, and open Reports → Trial Balance. You will see the entries already posted and balanced, because every document writes its own double-entry voucher automatically.
